Phenolic compounds of plants are known as possessing antioxidative properties. Even widely used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, the antioxidative effects of the phenolics on cellular behavior at molecular level remain unclear. This study explores the relationship of phenolic structure antioxidant activity. Analysis of various polyphenols revealed a correlation between the number of hydroxyl groups and antioxidant activity. Tannic acid (TA), with the highest number of hydroxyl groups, exhibits exceptional antioxidative capabilities and resistance to external stimuli. TA-loaded nano carriers effectively altered cytoskeletal networks, inhibiting cancer cell invasion. The study demonstrated the intricate relationship between phenolic structure, antioxidant efficacy, and their impact on cancer cell behaviors. This study offer a promising approach for antioxidation-functionalized drug delivery in diseases associated with oxidative stress. |
